Career Counselling
Over time, we have dealt with thousands of international MBAs and Alumni in transition and can support your needs through individual Career Counselling. These sessions are designed to help you make an assessment of your career so far and identify your next steps. There may also be an educative element to Counselling, such as learning how to construct a resume or cover letter that targets a specific type of position. We usually start with a set of 4 sessions of one hour and a half over a period of 2 months. Individual Career Counselling sessions are complementary to the Career Transition and Networking Workshops mentioned below.
Business and Executive Coaching
What is coaching?
According to the International Coaching Federation: “Coaching is partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”.
Compared to counselling, coaching is dealing more with the emotional aspects of career change, help a person get “un-stuck,” develop a clearer image of his/her career “mission,” and develop and sustain the drive toward change. This can also be performing or coping better in a current job, looking at concerns such as time management and prioritizing skills, as well as more effective ways to interact with bosses and/or subordinates.
We focus on:
- Expatriation, repatriation
- Managing multi cultural teams
- Managing across distances
- Coaching skills for international managers
- Promotions: moving up, moving laterally
- Professional repositioning
This involves typically 2 sessions of one hour and a half per month for 6 months duration.
Career Transition and Networking workshops
We build on the strength of a group of 6 to 8 participants to support each other through bi-monthly meetings. Workshops are animated by Career specialists and covers:
- Self assessment
- International job search strategy
- Developing your tools (CV, cover letter, emails, telephone)
- Networking that works (Headhunters, Alumni, virtual networks etc.)
- Job search strategy over age 50
- Handling a drastic career change
- How to look for an expatriate position?
As ICF Professional Coach, we agree to practice the ICF Professional
